Position 1: Assistant to the Director of the Osaka Art Center (Full-time)

Location: Osaka, Japan

Job Responsibilities:

 Familiarize yourself with the operational models of domestic and international galleries or art centers, assist the director in managing daily operations, and ensure the efficient operation of the art center;

 Handle daily administrative tasks, including document management, meeting arrangements, and visitor reception;

 Coordinate internal workflows within the center to ensure smooth communication and collaboration between departments;

 Manage staff training, assist in recruitment, selection, and termination processes;

 Oversee the coordination of exhibitions and events, including setup and dismantling;

 Maintain relationships with artists, collectors, and partner institutions to support the progress of art projects;

 Assist with financial affairs such as budget management and document organization;

 Other tasks assigned by the director.

Qualifications:

 Integrity, resilience, and a passion for the art industry;

 Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in Art History or Art Management, with 2-3 years of relevant experience;

 Proficiency in Japanese and English is required, and knowledge of Chinese is an advantage;

 Strong organizational and coordination skills, ability to work independently;

 Enthusiasm for the art industry, strong aesthetic judgment, and teamwork spirit;

 Familiarity with AI tools, including photography, video production, and editing skills.

Position 2: Assistant to the Art Director in Osaka (Part-time)

Location: Osaka, Japan

Job Responsibilities:

 Discover, research, and establish connections with Japanese artists to introduce them to the international stage;

 Assist in planning and executing gallery exhibitions and related art events, participating in curatorial work;

 Expand art-related networks and build relationships with art institutions, curators, and collectors;

 Manage media relations and social media marketing to enhance the gallery’s international presence;

 Conduct market research to understand trends and developments in the Japanese contemporary art scene;

 Other tasks related to art promotion.

Qualifications:

 Integrity, resilience, passion for the art industry, high sense of responsibility, and teamwork spirit; ability to adapt to flexible working hours;

 Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Art Management, Curation, Cultural Exchange, or Marketing;

 Proficiency in Japanese is required, with additional knowledge of Chinese or English preferred;

 Understanding of the Japanese art scene and an established network in the industry;

 Strong communication, planning, and execution skills.
